What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, with a focus on Python and C - Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) - Develop and deploy containerised applications using Docker - Implement and maintain microservices architecture - Debug and improve running systems to ensure stability and performance - Optimise system performance and troubleshoot production issues - Collaborate with Frontend developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders - Own end-to-end development: from requirement analysis and design through to testing and deployment
What we're looking for
Backend Development Experience
5+ years, with a track record of shipping scalable, production-grade systems
Programming Languages
Strong hands-on Python skills; proficiency in C programming
System Architecture & OS
Strong understanding of system architecture principles; Experience with internal OS development; Working knowledge of Linux OS
Database & Containerization
Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB); Hands-on experience with Docker for containerisation
Architectural Patterns
Experience with microservices architecture
DevOps & Infrastructure
Familiarity with DevOps practices and on-prem infrastructure
